BANTENG
We hold one of the only 2 licenses issued to hunt banteng in their wild and free state in the world. The banteng is endangered in most of its natural habitat in SE Asia. The herd we hunt is situated on Cobourg Peninsula and due to effective management is an extremely numerous and healthy herd. Cobourg has the only free-range herd in the world that can be legally hunted, with a herd population estimated at 5,500 to 7,000. We have a history of excellent trophy animals taken. Areas are accessed by road and then on foot. The Banteng lives in semi tropical woodlands and with its acute senses offers a real challenge to the skillful hunter.
Weapons — Caliber preferred are .338 or larger and soft point ammunition.
