TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS - AIR, HOTEL & TOURS

We suggest you make all of your travel arrangements through our travel agency: John X Safaris Travel.  John X offers wholesale airline tickets to Africa and will do our best to offer you the very best rates available.   Please contact Dave Harwood at: daveatjohnx@aol.com.

Our staff is fully aware of the flights you will need to meet your hunting itinerary.  In addition they will be able to provide you wholesale prices on your airfare from your home all the way to Port Elizabeth and back.  In addition, if you choose to fly through London we can arrange for a Bonded Courier to take care of your firearms.

Please be aware that Delta and South African Airways are currently the only non-stop carriers to South Africa and they set their prices on a "seasonal"  basis. We will also be able to help you with pre and/or post hunt hotel and tour arrangements.  Debbie at AAT has personally done the tours and stayed in many, if not all, of the hotels we use in South Africa.

INSURANCE

While all possible precautions are taken to protect you against accident, sickness or other loss, no liability can be accepted in this regard.  We can now offer hunters full travel insurance, including emergency evacuation and medical insurance.  DO NOT GO TO AFRICA WITHOUT IT.......  Contact us for full details.

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

A first aid kit is carried by our Professional Hunters who will accompany you on your hunt. More sophisticated medical facilities are available within a radius of about 60 miles of our hunting areas. No inoculation or malaria medicine is required to hunt or visit the Eastern Cape region.

TRAVEL & VISA REQUIREMENTS: CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION

American Citizens are required to have a passport that is valid for SIX MONTHS after returning to the US and must have two blank pages.  Upon arrival in South Africa your weapons will be inspected at the port of entry where you will be required to obtain a temporary local license.  Please ensure that you obtain a valid customs declaration form from customs in your country for re-importation of your weapons when you return home.
