Tours Before or After Your Hunt

When planning your safari to South Africa, you may find family, friends or spouses wanting to join you on your safari, either as observers or travelers themselves. Over the years we have found that many observers are fanatical hunters, but prefer to not always pull the trigger or spend everyday out in the field, for this reason we have established John X Travel. John X Travel is a well-established tour company based in the United States and South Africa and is staffed by a team of experienced tour consultants with excellent local knowledge.

We take delight in our ability to meet the exact requirements of even the most discerning travelers, by offering each client personalized service, starting at the planning stages and continuing throughout your time in South Africa. Our specialized tour consultants will listen to your every need and will advise and guide you during the planning of your safari. Observers and hunters alike will find there is plenty on offer in the surrounding area around Base Camp. Most of these activities can be arranged upon your arrival, but we prefer to hear from you well before your hunt to ensure availability by booking.

Garden Route

Our 4 day/3 night Garden Route Tour from Port Elizabeth to Knysna and back to Port Elizabeth is one often taken by observers who wish to break away from hunting for a few days. These tours combine very well with groups on safaris where hunters will travel to our Northern areas for a few days of their safari. For those of you who would enjoy a tour before or after your safari, none other is as popular as our 8 day/7 night Garden Route tour, starting in Port Elizabeth and ending in Cape Town or visa versa.
