John X Safaris hunting areas in South Africa covers three different regions within the Eastern Cape. With over 40 different game species available to our hunters, and many occurring in different habitats, we have found the need to establish camps within selected areas. Our Coastal Base Camp is situated a mere one hour drive from Port Elizabeth, allowing for a wide variety of coastal species. Our Eastern Mountainous Camp is situated between the Winterberg and Stormberg ranges, while our Northern Camp is situated in the Great Karoo, both areas allowing for great mountain and plains game hunting.
Our camps vary from comfortable safari-style homes to small and personal rustic camps in the north, with luxurious lodges on our family owned Big 5 Game Reserve in the south.
You can look forward to being spoiled, the African way, and enjoy some of the best local cooking South Africa has to offer. If you have any food/drink preferences or food allergies and dietary requirements, please advise us well in advance. We want to be sure that we are prepared for your stay with us.
