“If we were to succeed in educating and influencing our local communities in the value of sustainable hunting, we will need to start by giving. Only then will the true value of hunting be realized. ” - Author unknown.
The John X Foundation has a rich history of involving hunters in our local communities. Since that first SCI Blue Bag, many hunters have subsequently joined in the Blue Bag program. Many have brought blue bags stuffed to the point of bursting; some have simply filled extra space in their luggage, while others find it easier to donate cash, which the foundation intern uses to purchase items on their behalf. 100% of all donations go directly to targeted projects.
The number and amount of donations continues to grow substantially each year. Through targeted coordinated donations the John X Foundation can focus on bigger projects that impact many more than ever before.
The Foundation accepts gifts of all types and sizes. Past donations have included everything from school supplies, tooth brushes, water bottles, blankets, toys, building/construction supplies, cash, and much, much more.
Many of our past donors have enjoyed the privilege of delivering their gifts in person. There is simply nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s eyes or a teacher’s face light up when you personally handover your contribution/s. Time permitting, we will make arrangements so that you can personally go onsite to touch the lives of those you are helping. We highly recommend this as one of the most rewarding parts of your safari experience.
For a personalized answer to all your questions with regards to the John X Foundation, please feel free to contact Trish at firstname.lastname@example.org. She will be more than glad to assist with contribution options on the most current projects.

"My Safari far exceeded my expectations!!! Rusty was awesome! I had the time of my life. I can think of many great moments, but sneaking up onto my Nyala and ending up with a Kudu was one of the most exciting moments in my life. The praise can go on, but in short - I will return!!! Staff was great, all the PH’S fun, they worked together for a great hunt and great times."~ Joe Kapaun '13 from
"Carl--Mozambique! What a magnificent place to share with you. Heat, bugs, smoke from grass burning to renew the cycle of life-sustaining new growth. Native huts and gardens with people living much as they did 200-300 years ago. But the same John X, dedication to a great hunting experience and the same quality trophies that I found with you in South Africa. It was truly an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
"So much more than what we expecting! Over the top service with a great team! Thanks again Carl and team!"~ Kelly & Suzanne Edwards '14 from
