As a member of cites Mozambique has a CITES quota for both Elephant and Leopard, which are classified as CITES 1. There are currently 40 elephant on quota for Mozambique, and many exceptional trophies have been taken, including a few making the magical 100-pound mark. Most of these big elephant have been taken in the northern regions of Niassa. "What an adventure for my 12 year old son and myself. Our first safari was incredible. Many thanks to Carl, his staff, and our professional hunter, Stix. They worked patiently with my son and put him into perfect situations. We did not imagine that we would have such great success.
Thank you for the wonderful trophies and unforgettable experience."
"Our 2014 reunion tour was much more than I dreamed of. The John X team members all went way above their positions to make me feel like family. From the quality of trophies harvested, the fantastic meals, and great accommodations to the camaraderie in the evenings, everything was perfect. A very special thank you to my PH, Stix, his patience and encouragement in helping me harvest extremely nice mature trophies will never be forgotten."~ Dave Moser '14 from
"On my third trip to S.Africa I once again hunted with my great PH Juan MacDonald. A friend once told me: "You can take my wife, but never take my PH or my toothbrush." That says a little bit what a good PH means. This year’s trophies were Zebra, Blesbuck, Mountain Reedbuck and I also got my second of the tiny ten, a beautiful Steenbuck. I really want to thank all of the wonderful staff who took care of us in the camps."~ Thomas Nyden '13 from
Thank you to Carl and the entire staff at John X Safaris. The accommodations and overall experience in the camps were exceptional. A special thanks to my friend and PH Rusty. The trophy quality and fun we had hunting together in the coastal areas and the Karoo was second to none.
Thanks for a truly unforgettable safari. See you in the future.
"We were here 2 years ago and had so much fun we wanted to come back with friends. This time there were six of us. The hunting was great and the hospitality was even better than I remember. When you come on a John X Safari you are treated like royalty. Thanks again."~ Larry & Rita Heim '13 from
