What People Are Saying

"If you have already been on a safari, you have come to know that it is more than the hunt … much more! On our 6th safari, we had the good fortune to share JXS with our 2 best friends who were on their 1st safari. And what a safari experience it turned out to be. Everything from riding elephants, to fishing, to hunting waterfowl. The highlight of our experience was being able to take a magnificent Blue Duiker from a ground blind. JXS slogan is “Going the Distance” … and they never cease to amaze us … creating a safari experience that is unmatched anywhere."

Thank you to Carl and the entire staff at John X Safaris. The accommodations and overall experience in the camps were exceptional. A special thanks to my friend and PH Rusty. The trophy quality and fun we had hunting together in the coastal areas and the Karoo was second to none.
Thanks for a truly unforgettable safari. See you in the future.

"In 2001 I went on a once in a lifetime trip with John X Safaris. In 2011 I completed my 6th trip with John X. Obviously I am a believer in the quality of the entire John X experience from the first class accommodations, to the outstanding food, exceptional service and even more importantly - to the quality hunting areas that produce the exceptional trophies I've come to expect. Trip number seven is being planned for 2012 - I simply can't get enough!"

Attempting to recount a South African safari experience can be a very difficult task. Telling stories and sharing photos can only begin to paint a picture of what one can expect to see when hunting plains game. Being my 2nd trip over to hunt with Carl & the John X crew, I wondered if the experience would be less exciting than my maiden voyage. I could not have been more wrong! Hunting from the mountains in the Karoo, to the dense forests on the coast, this trip could not have been scripted any better. The thrill of chasing a new trophy quality animal every day, the stories told around the dinner table each night, and the friendships made that will last a lifetime are just a few of the reasons that a person needs to visit South Africa once in his or her lifetime!
