2020/21 & Beyond – Two Seasons in one…

15th Dec 2021

We have all lived through extraordinary times. We have endured the loss of a year in our lives and rose to the challenge of the greatest season yet. And while lost time meant an adjustment of our enthusiasm for growth, it brought us closer to the people and the smaller things in life that matter most.

We adapted and learnt to get by with less and the associated challenges which came with that. Intern that allowed us to take a closer look at the journey and not merely the destination while gaining a deeper appreciation for this life we lead and the opportunities it affords us.

We got to know you, our wildlife and our people. We learnt about loyalty, unconditional loyalty, and the faraway places that brought us closer in the adventures we shared. Together with your continued support of our Foundation we were able to give more to both our local community and wildlife than ever before. An achievement worth celebrating when one considers the circumstances.

But above all, now at the end of our season we want recognize you the hunter who made this all possible. Without you and your desire to make it out to Africa to support us, which ultimately sustains our wildlife, our people and wild places, there would be no stories to tell or hunts to embark on. These past two years saw a new level of commitment, one which saw a disastrous 2020 fade away in the afterglow of a successful 2021.

This seasons year book, a highlight for us after having missed 2020, is about you and your safari. It’s about long glassing sessions with soul inspiring views and those once in a lifetime experience that take your breath away. It is about those quiet moments that merely require a glance to build long-lasting friendships after the smell of gunpowder has subsided and the congratulatory handshakes have recognized an achievement worth remembering. It is about dusty boots, sweaty caps and weary legs coming together around the campfire each evening. It is about wonderfully long walks and those special moments before squeezing the trigger where the culmination of years’ worth of dreaming finally came together in a moment so intimate you’re barely able to describe it.

This year was ultimately about a season many believed would never happen and a celebration of gratitude as we look to not merely sustain, but  grow and continue our expansion into 2022 with the exciting addition of two new hunting regions where those old school traditions will continue meeting modern day conservation solutions as we hunt to connect to conserve.

As the summer rains continue in record fashion in Africa ~ We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year ~ See you in the US during Jan/Feb 2022.
