The Land’s in Africa

Eric and Uncle Ronnie Land teamed up with PH Ed Wilson during mid-June just as winter was setting in and the days started growing shorter and the nights longer. That time of year sees the rut in full swing with the smell of testosterone filling the air and the sight of bulls on the march in search of females leading the order of the day. For Eric it would be his first taste of hunting the Dark Continent and for Uncle Ronnie an opportunity to join his son in Africa as they went in pursuit of Plains Game.

Hunting from both our southern and northern regions the crew fought the weather with a big cold front overhead. A Spiral Slam was their goal, but would the elements play along….
