It’s Show Time!

17th Nov 2009

What a year we’ve had! It feels like it was yesterday that we were in the USA attending our annual shows with Safari Club International and The Dallas Safari Club. Just about a whole year and an entire hunting season has passed, and it’s that time again.
As we know there are many of our past and future hunters attending the conventions and shows, we’d like to remind you all of the shows and their dates that John X Safaris will be attending in the USA, January 2010. Our first stop will be Dallas, Texas, for the Dallas Safari Club Show held from 7 – 10 January 2010. In Dallas we look forward to the new location of the show for 2010 and we have been allocated booth number # 739. From Dallas we head to Utah for a quick stop over in Eagle Mountain and then onto Omaha, Nebraska. In Omaha we will be attending the SCI Omaha Chapter Show with Steve and Jill Evers from Wildlife Creations Taxidermy. The Omaha show runs from 15 – 16 January 2010. From Omaha, we  head to Reno, Nevada, for the Safari Club International Show. SCI Reno runs from 20 – 23 January 2010 and John X Safaris will enjoy its traditional spot on White Tail Way, Booths # 313 & 412 in the main hall. In Reno we look forward to the whole team getting together, we have Dave Harwood from our USA Office, Brett Nelson from Alaska, good old Fred Slater from Florida and no show would be complete without the boys – Dwight, Dave, Russel and Jeff.
We hope to see as many of you as possible at the shows and want to remind you that there are only 5 weeks left of 2009, so if any of you are thinking or may be interested in Safaris for next season, book sooner rather than later as any deposits received in 2009 can enjoy the privilege of hunting season 2010 off Price list 2009. At this time we are sold out for middle March, end April and most of May already. June and July is FIFA Soccer World Cup time in South Africa, South Africa will be very busy over this period and finding flights will be extremely difficult. We recommend all interested hunters who have not booked already,  book around FIFA Soccer World Cup running from 11 June – 11 July 2010.
Planning marketing trips and shows from halfway across the world is extremely difficult and without the help of very good friends throughout the USA it would not be possible. Johnny Posey in Dallas, Rich & Ann- Marie Adams in Reno, Steve & Jill Evers in Omaha, our friends from Utah and Chris & Martie Petersen and their team in Nebraska – Thank you – the hospitality, help and effort is greatly appreciated.
In this week’s Blog, we’ve included a picture of Brett Nelson with his East Cape Kudu, one of the very best Kudu from this past season. Enjoy Brett! You deserved this one, its been a long time coming.
