More Than A Hunt
When planning your safari, you may find family, friends, or partners wanting to join you on your adventure, either as hunters or non-hunters. Our recommendation would be for the observers/non-hunters to join the hunters for a morning or afternoon hunt as it’s a great outing and opportunity to see a bunch of wildlife while doing so, or head-off on an adventure of your own on one of our renowned day excursions.
Looking at the various camps, Woodlands and Bankfontein provide a number of day excursions in the surrounding region to each camp, while our camps in the tribal area, Lalapa and Buckness, offer very limited non-hunting excursion options. Our camps do not have any fitness centres or specific activities apart from R&R, but we do have a non-hunter/observer concierge on our team who hosts, transfers and guides any excursions during your stay.
A basic transfer and hosting fee of USD $200 / Per Excursion / Excl 15% Vat will be levied per vehicle per day IF the PH/Guide allocated to your hunt will be hunting with the hunter and a second vehicle and team member needs to be called in to transfer the non-hunter/s to/from any specific excursion. This fee can be split between groups/individuals where applicable/possible.
Most activities can be arranged upon your arrival, but we would prefer hearing from you well in advance to ensure availability.We will be glad to arrange any non-hunting excursions during your stay with us, but kindly do note charges/costs for any non-hunting excursions can be settled directly with that particular establishment or activity where applicable.

Once your hunt is booked/confirmed then expect to hear from our team with a pre-hunt email +-6 months out from the start of your safari. That email covers a few last details which will prepare both you/yourselves and our teams on the ground for your time with us in Africa. At that time we would like to hear from you on your specific excursion options.

Yes. Our non-hunter/observer concierge can host, transfer and guide non-hunters on excursions while the hunters are out hunting. This allows everyone in your group to enjoy their time in South Africa, whether hunting or exploring the surrounding region/s.
