For those who enjoy fishing as much as hunting, there is great fun for all just off our coast in the Indian Ocean. Take a day off from hunting and travel a mere hour from Woodlands Safari Estate to Port Alfred. From Port Alfred, you will experience a river mouth launch, an exhilarating run through the breakers and a day of fishing sensation.

We offer both bottom fishing and deep sea trolling giving the angler the option of fishing along our rugged coast or traveling out to the warm Mozambican current. While bottom fishing, anglers will mostly target; Cape Salmon, Scotchman, Cape Stump nose, Sand Fish, Cob and Black Mussel Cracker.

On weather permitting days, trips to the Islands in search of Yellow Tail Tuna for a day of trolling is a must. May through July is the best time for Yellow Fin Tuna, and August through October, the best for Yellow Tail Tuna. Anglers can expect bottom fishing to be good throughout the year.

All fishing trips are specialized and must always be booked well in advance to ensure availability and maximum opportunity for success.
