Cable’s African Bow Hunt

For the past five years Cable Smith and PH, Carl Van Zyl, have pursued game across all fronts and varied terrain making the most of both Plains and Dangerous Game opportunities. Up until this point the pair had focused on rifle hunting only, but on Cable’s most recent hunt to the East Cape he decided to bring his bow for a bow only safari.

It proved to be the greatest challenge yet, but arguably one of the most rewarding to date. From a giant Kalahari Springbuck in the Karoo to a majestic Sable and a huge Eland from Woodlands Safari Estate. There were many frustrating moments shared and lessons learnt as we got schooled regularly along the way.
