A Toast to the Season | Yearbook 2022

5th Dec 2022

Coming to the end of our year and paging through this seasons yearbook we find ourselves humbled by the wonderful pictures and mesmerising letters. It’s a summary of our season and the adventures shared with friends both old and new. Hit our below book to view yearbook 2022…

As a team, together with you, we have had to move on from the turbulence of the two previous years leading up to 2022 and had to start living once again. We had to put the past behind us and head back to a place we once knew. The break in seasons did not kill us, but it did change us. And unlike the rest of the industry, through your continued support, we enjoyed a busy 2021 which had set us up for a momentous 2022.

The rains which welcomed us into the new year gave our all important wildlife the start we were after. Not only did it put us on the front foot with your safaris, but it treated both you and us to a spectacle like few seasons before. Combining a wet summer with our traditional areas as well as a host of newly signed concessions saw an abundance of quality hitting the skinning shed as each one of you embarked on a personal adventure of your own.

It is no secret that we cannot enjoy the things we love doing without your support and for that we will remain forever grateful as a team. Together with you we will continue to hunt, to protect our wild places and sustain our local communities, as we do so connecting with one another in the vision to ultimately conserve something we believe worth conserving.

As we close the final chapter on a memorable season we look towards a bright future with much anticipation of the journey ahead. In Africa the rains and first young have arrived, indicating it’s time to slow down, surround yourself with family and friends and celebrate a festive season filled with much joy and laughter.

Wishing you a blessed festive season and looking forward to seeing you in the new year.

Carl & Team
Woodlands Safari Estate, December ’22

Please note that we will be closed for the festive season from 5 – 27 December 2022. Feel free to drop us a mail and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
