The Next Generation & Wildlife Management | Rock Water Ranch
It is our belief that first comes the soil, then the habitat, and only then the wildlife. It is an ideology which has been passed down from my Dad, Rick, to me having learnt this in the Great Karoo where water is scarce and droughts are never to far away.
The thought behind our vision is a fairly practical one which many seem to ignore. The fact remains that no matter the genetic and the cost or management of that specific gene pool, one will never meet the balance until the food and soil is in a healthy state. The one cannot go without the other, and the balance thereof is the greatest challenge of all. Wildlife requires patience as the change you make today may only be seen 5 – 10 years from now at best. Part of our vision requires a select quota to be hunted as management game annually, together with a live capture and trophy quota.
For this Tim Rainwater together with Greg Tsougarakis and Carter Orasch, joined PH Greg Hayes and Tracker Bless, assisting us in our efforts of managing our game today and in so doing ensuring the next generation will enjoy the fruits of our labor for years to come.
