Dennis hunted a variety of plains game, but the Sable held a special place in his heart, tied to stories passed down from his father long ago. Among his selected species, he also took a remarkable waterbuck, initially not on his list, but one he added quickly after spotting them in the field—a memorable highlight of his time in Africa.

Brandon focused much of his hunt on bowhunting, pursuing a couple of challenging species. Among them, he took the notorious string jumper, the impala, with a perfectly placed shot at 26 yards. Later, he switched to the rifle for part of his trip, taking advantage of the open plains to hunt black wildebeest, golden wildebeest, and zebra, gaining a breadth of experience across Africa’s diverse terrain.

Throughout their journey, there were special moments shared between father, son, and their professional hunters—moments of quiet reflection, hard-earned triumph, and the simple, unspoken bond that comes from time spent together in the wild.

These experiences left an indelible mark, shaping not only their skills but their understanding of the land, the animals, and the legacy passed down through generations.
